Sustainably hand-harvested and very low sodium certified organic, wild, hand-harvested dulse sea vegetables from the shores of Maine. Sun-dried and ground into small flakes. Tangy flavor brightens grains, vegetables, salads, pasta, baked potatoes, popcorn, and almost any dish. Sprinkle or pour the dispenser cap.
EDEN Organic Dulse Flakes are from wild, hand-harvested, organic EDEN Dulse, ground into fine flakes. The dulse is certified organic by Maine Organic Farmers and Gardens Association (MOFGA) and sustainably hand harvested from April through September. Dulsers use dories and harvest at low tide off coastal submerged rocks. The fronds are spread over nets on the beach to dry. The summer sun and sea breeze reduce moisture to 12 to 15 percent in about a day and a half. The dulse is then ground, and passed over a magnet into a sifter of stainless steel screens. Dulse flakes are weighed and packed for shipment to Eden Foods where they’re filled into glass jars capped with dispenser tops.
